When discussing QF31, we need more science and less hyperbolic linkbait. Cooler heads should prevail.
This week brought us the so-called "engine explosion" and "crash landing" of a Rolls-Royce-powered, Qantas Airbus A380 double-deck superjumbo, at Singapore's Changi airport. Predictably, the media is full of uninformed speculation about what happened. Some are even blaming the aircraft's computerized, fly-by-wire control systems.
